Frequently Asked Questions

Insurance
Q: Which insurance companies do you work with?
A: We work with ALL insurance companies!

Q: Do I need to get three bids for auto repair for my insurance company?
A: NO, Montana State Law lets you choose your repair facility, no other bids needed. Pretty much all auto repair businesses work with all insurance companies, so you can go straight to who you prefer.

Q: When insurance covers my repair, do I have to use aftermarket parts?
A: It depends on your insurance coverage or the insurance of the person who is responsible for the accident; check with the company. Factory, or OEM (original equipment manufacturer), parts are generally more reliable than aftermarket parts.

Q: If I’m responsible for damage to another vehicle, do I have to pay a deductible on my liability insurance?
A: No! Your insurance will pay for the other car’s damage and you owe no deductible. Deductibles apply to comprehensive and collision insurance.

Q: If I’m in an accident involving another car, do I have to report it to law enforcement?
A: Yes, you should report an accident by law, and if you fail to do so you may be ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident and other infractions. The police report will also be used by insurance companies when covering damage.

Q: If I add something to my vehicle, like a grille guard or bumper grille guard, is it automatically insured?
A: Depends on insurer. Check with your insurance company to find out if you need to add coverage for your new accessories, which may cost a little more.

Q: What type of a deductible is best when choosing auto insurance?
A: Depending on how much ready cash you have, carefully consider the deductible; coming up with $1,000 deductible is much harder than a $500 deductible for many, and the cost difference is usually minimal. Same thing with the rental aspect of your policy.

Q: Is a rental covered by insurance while my car is being repaired? How about towing?
A: Not all policies cover towing or a rental car; check with your insurance company.

Estimates

Q: How much does it cost for an estimate on auto body repair?
A: We give free estimates on all auto body, auto body paint and windshield repair.

Q: Do I have to make an appointment to come in for an estimate.
A: No, just stop by between 7:30 am and 5 pm, and we’ll give you an estimate as quickly as possible. Some estimates can be done by phone, call 406-222-0214 to find out.

Q: Do you give definitive estimates on auto restoration for vintage cars?
A: No, we’ll give you a ballpark figure, but each vintage auto is a unique case and we can’t predict all the costs that may arise in restoration.

Windshield/Auto glass repair
Q: Should I get my windshield repaired if it only has a chip?
A: Yes, if you wait until the chip becomes a crack, then the entire windshield will have to be replaced.

Q: Do you repair auto glass other than windshields?
A: Yes, we often repair side window glass and mirrors.

Q: What does a glass repair estimate cost?
A: It’s free.
Q: Is auto glass work guaranteed?
A: We offer a quality guarantee on all auto glass work

Q: Do you work with insurance companies on glass repair?
A: Yes, and we accept insurance checks for services rendered.

Minor Repair & Adjustments
Q: What is a Paintless dent repair?
A: Confusing term, but it means when you have a dent that hasn’t cracked or damaged the paint, it may be able to be fixed without the added expense of repainting. We start with the lowest cost option whenever possible.

Q: Do you do minor adjustments and repairs on vehicles, or just major repair?
A: We are experts at a wide range of minor repairs and adjustments including: replacing seals, headlights and bulbs, side glass, and batteries, repairing door latches, door handles, and putting in new door pins and hinges. Because we are familiar with removing door panels and other auto body mechanics, we have the tools, experience and patience to do these jobs quickly and without further damage. We will even adjust your door for free if the wind has caught it and it’s overextended and not latching properly; it’s important to take care of this before more expensive damage is incurred.

Warranties & Staff Qualifications

Q: How long is the warranty on your work good for?
A: We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.

Q: Is work with aftermarket parts warranted?
A: Yes, per the manufacturer’s warranty. We prefer to use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts.

A: Yes, we’re the only shop in Livingston to offer this option. Because we are a Napa Auto Repair Collision Center, our repairs are warranted at any Napa Auto Repair Collision Center in the nation.
